Hello, my name is Leora, and I'm a salad addict. To feed my addiction, I've decided to create and eat a different salad every day in 2013. I might not always succeed fabulously, but I'll be honest about my failures. So join me in my official Year of the Salad!

January 23: Four Season Salad
I'm still trying to come up with a rating system, but when I do, this salad will be near the top. It was light and refreshing, it was very pretty, and it was gone very quickly.
This is not a salad that needs a recipe. I call it a four season salad because I start with Spring greens and cucumbers, then add apples and freshly toasted pecans for a taste of Autumn. Hearts of palm add a taste of tropical summer, and since mandarin oranges always taste like Christmas to me, so I drizzle on Kraft Mandarin Sesame dressing to represent winter.
Moving day is quickly approaching, so I'm probably going to be making some odd salads as I try to empty out my fridge and my cupboards. And now I have half a can of hearts of palm to use up, so I'm trying to think what else it would compliment. I'm sure I'll come up with something very tasty, but after this salad, I can't really imagine it with any other dressing.
